Suffolk Market Events and Foragers Feast have some fabulous foraging workshops lined up over the Autumn. Please read through the information below and when you have chosen the date you would like to forage, just click on Book Here. Our foraging events really do provide a unique way of spending the day with true experts but spaces do get booked quickly so we suggest you reserve your space soon.

All our Autumn foraging takes place on Tiger Hill near the village of Bures in the heart of rural Suffolk. 

During the morning, we’ll be walking through ancient woodland on the borders of Constable country, learning where, when and what to look for amidst a broad selection of fungi. After a full morning outdoors, everyone decamps to an award winning rural Suffolk pub nearby where Carl sets up his field kitchen and cracks on with his amazing cooking, turning your foraged finds into delicious lunchtime treats.

Every forager receives a Goodie Bag to include recipes, a foraging calendar, and a selection of wild food products including dried mushrooms, wild soup and sour dough bread.

Tickets cost £75 (including booking fee). Dates may be transferable after booking but only with 6 weeks' notice.

Go wild in Suffolk's gorgeous autumn landscape with two local foragers as your expert guides!

Get the taste of the wild in your diet this October!

All our Autumn foraging takes place on Tiger Hill near the village of Bures in the heart of rural Suffolk and focuses on the huge range of fungi from the wonderfully named Earth Stars to Chicken of the Woods. 

You will spend a full morning walking through ancient woodland as our plantsman expert Matthew Rooney and Suffolk chef Carl Shillingford share their knowledge, showing where, when and what to look for amidst a broad selection of fungi. After the forage you will decamp to an award winning rural Suffolk pub where Carl will set up a field kitchen and turn your foraged finds into delicious lunchtime treats.

Autumn is the season when mushrooms become obvious in the woods and meadows so join us to discover the variety of fungi, their shapes, colours, smells, textures and tastes.

You will spend the morning with foraging expert and trained chef, Carl Shillingford and expert botanist Matthew Rooney, who will lead the forage through ancient woodland near the village of Bures. After a full morning you will head to Lavenham Village Hall (Church Street, Lavenham CO10 9QT) for a fabulous hour-long cooking demonstration with your foraged finds. There will be plenty of chances to feast on deliciously tasty samples and ask lots of questions before receiving a Goodie Bag filled with recipes, a foraging calendar, and a selection of wild food products including dried mushrooms, wild soup and sour dough bread. 

This is our only forage combined with a chance to visit our award-winning farmers' market,  so please book in advance to avoid disappointment. Tickets cost £75 (including booking fee). Dates may be transferable after booking but only with 6 weeks' notice.

This is our last forage of 2017.

Join us to discover the variety of fungi; their shapes, colours, smells, textures and tastes and spend a full morning with foraging expert and Michel Roux trained chef, Carl Shillingford and expert botanist Matthew Rooney who will lead the forage through ancient woodland near the village of Bures, nestled in stunning Constable country. After foraging everyone will decamp to a cosy, award winning Suffolk pub  where you will be treated to a delicious range of tasters created, in front of your eyes, in Carl's field kitchen. 

The day ends with everyone receiving a fabulous Goodie Bag filled with recipes, a foraging calendar, and a selection of wild food products including dried mushrooms, wild soup and sour dough bread.
