Poppies Care Farm joins the Ipswich Farmers Market!

An Ipswich community care farm which provides skills and opportunities for people with learning difficulties has signed up to be part of the new monthly farmers market on the Cornhill.

Poppies Care Farm, established in 2014 by Liz Marley and husband Lee Smith are going to be using the market to sell their seasonal products which they hope will bring in extra revenue to invest in their community farm.

“Look out for Poppies Care Farm who are bringing fresh fruit and veg from the farm, eggs, honey plus farm-made preserves and other goodies! – it is incredibly exciting.”

says Liz Marley

Justine Paul, founder of Suffolk Market Events who are running the market stated:

“It is such a perfect story and such a perfect fit for our market in Ipswich – great locally produced food which is literally grown a couple of miles away and with such a fantastic culture of care and compassion at the farm – we are so pleased to be partnering with Poppies Care Farm.”

The Farmers’ Market will launch on the Cornhill on Sunday 7th April 2019 and run every first Sunday in the month from 10am – 2pm
