Today I spent the morning doing one of my favourite things and something that I barely get time to do these days. I spent a couple of hours visiting one of our fantastic producers on their farm and meeting their amazing pigs (and anyone who knows me, knows how much I love a piglet!) Running a small business has so many huge benefits but as that business grows,and you spin more and more plates, you often find that the things you loved, which sit at the of your business, never get your time anymore. And so this morning was one of the best mornings I have had for ages. Greenacres Smallholding is owned and run by Jo Henderson. She started trading with Suffolk Market Events in 2018 when she first attended her first ever market at Sudbury Farmers Market. Her passion shone through from the moment I met her. Her determination to encourage people to return to eating good old fashioned cuts of pork, including the offal and trotters, has never waivered and her customer base has grown constantly as a result. Spending time meeting her gorgeous pigs was special.
