Treats for the bank holiday weekend
Treats at Farmers Market

Date

A double bill of farmers markets this weekend is sure to you offer you something special as we look forward to more sunny days ahead.

On Friday we start on Market Hill in Sudbury with another farmers market packed with local and fresh produce. Totham Bangers or Wigborough Meats can offer you great options for a BBQ – perhaps with a special herb rub from Colne Valley Spice Company? As always we have wonderful street food from Mena’s Indian Banquet and Beats & Bagels. There’s sweet treats from Alex’s Artisan Bakery, Woodlands Fudge or vegan pastries from The Norwegian Bakers. There’s jams and chutneys from the Jam Shed and honey from BeeHouse plus fresh breads and sourdoughs from Tensheds Bakehouse. Say hello to our new trader The Wood Turners Hut and look out for candles from Potterswick and homecrafts from Barbara!

The fun continues on Sunday at Lavenham with over 30 stalls of fresh local artisan produce including Compleat with their home made pies and range of regional cheeses. Colletts Farm has wonderful local meat as well as fresh jersey milk and delicious milkshakes. Sunshine & Green bring organic veg from their farm in Cavendish and Good to Go bring their range of Suffolk granolas. Coriander Kitchen offers tasty Indian street food and we have ice cream as well from Simply Ice Cream. For those with a sweeter tooth we have Smithington’s Bakery with their brownies and Baked for the Road with cakes & bakes plus indulgent chocolate from Woodrow. There’s a new baker in town -Biddles Bread with plenty of sourdoughs as well as apples from Daymens Orchard, cider from Brooks & Conquest and local ales from Roughacre. Look out for our craft stalls including soaps and candles as well as jewellery and handmade homeware.
