What a day at The Taste of Sudbury

There were so many fab stalls at The Taste of Sudbury Food and Drink Festival on Saturday and the best bit of all? Every stall at The Taste of Sudbury is genuinely local. Yep, they are all based in Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire or Essex and travelled an absolute maximum of 50 miles to be with us (most are based within 30 miles)

So, which stall was your favourite? We’d love to hear!

Date Change for Colchester Farmers Market

Due to the Coronation on Saturday 6th May, we’ve moved the next Colchester Farmers Market to the following week, so Colchester Farmers Market will be held on Saturday May 13th outside The Mercury Theatre.

Same time as usual – 9.30am – 2pm

Same place as usual – The Piazza, outside Mercury Theatre.

Remember Bury Farmers Market is this Sunday 16th April

Just a reminder to everyone that our regular farmers market in Bury St Edmunds is on Sunday 16th April this month – not Sunday 9th April as this clashes with Easter Sunday.

As always we will have over 30 artisan producers ready for you – a week later than usual but everything will be just as fresh!

See you then

10am – 3pm, The Traverse, Bury St Edmunds.

Taste of Sudbury 2023 A great new venue for this year

Following the great success of the Taste of Sudbury last year in its `out of town’ location at Long Melford, plans are already well in place to ensure 2023 is even better.

With Melford Hall closed for outdoor events this year, the festival is delighted to be located in the grounds of Kentwell Hall, against the backdrop of the stunning Tudor mansion, this is the perfect location for all the wonderful tastes and smells at this one-day festival.

`Supporting local producers and celebrating local food and drink has been the core focus and theme of the festival for several years. It is so important, and indicative of the success of the festival, that we have several local businesses that support the festival and that we have enormous numbers of visitors who enjoy the festival each year. Coming to Kentwell Hall is somewhat serendipitous as I believe Kentwell Hall was the venue for one of the first farmers markets in the area over 20 years ago – it all makes perfect sense to come here’ states Justine Paul who part of the team that the runs the festival.

Likewise Kentwell Hall commented; `Judith and Patrick Phillips are delighted to welcome the Taste of Sudbury festival to Tourney Park at Kentwell Hall. A worthy and valued local event in a lovely Kentwell setting. We are very excited.’
