Love Lavenham!

We’re back at one of our favourite markets this weekend. Nearly 40 stalls of local artisan producers will be filling the Village Hall car park as well as the adjoining field. There will be a wonderful range of produce including locally shot game from Bay Tree Farm, local reared red poll beef from Skylark and pork from Greenacres plus fresh fish from Fresh & Wild on the Essex coast. There will be plenty of fresh veg from Greg and his allotment in Cavendish as well as apples, cider and craft beers and gin. Tim returns with his range of breads and sourdoughs and mother and daughter duo Karen and Charlotte come with their lovely handmade pies and range of local cheeses. Ted is back with his jams and chutneys and Stuart will be ready to give you advise on herbs & spices. Treats are provided by Sarah’s cakes or newcomers Tempered peach chocolates not to mention Richard’s vegan pastries. The range of local craft stalls make this market the perfect chance to start thinking about x-mas presents (is it too early) but no worry of any shortages – all these products are made down the road – no haulage/shipping required!!

See you Sunday – we start at 10am and we have plenty of coffee/hot chocolate from the Coffee Station plus treats for your dogs!

Suffolk Market Events announces the return of its Vegan Markets to Ipswich in 2021

After the great success and popularity of these markets last year, our Vegan Markets are once again returning to the Ipswich’s Cornhill this year.

Up to 25 local stalls will be showcasing a range of vegan foods and the market has been carefully laid out to ensure plenty of space and social distancing for all visitors. The market has a strong following in Ipswich where there is growing demand for good vegan produce exemplified by the growth of local businesses such as Hank’s Deli and Hullabaloo. There is also recognition that vegan produce is bought by all sectors of the community regardless of their eating habits – good food is good food!

There will be a fantastic range of street food to eat on the day so do not have a big breakfast!

Justine Paul, founder of Suffolk Market Events which organises the vegan market stated:

We are so pleased that we are back on The Cornhill. The last markets proved a real hit with locals as well as visitors from further afield in the county. We have ensured that the market will be safely run and with plenty of social distancing between stalls. I think people feel a little more relaxed when they shop in the fresh air and we have created lots of space in/around the market to make everyone feel secure. As before there will be a brilliant range of top quality, new, creative, tasty and innovative vegan businesses showcasing at the market and we will be on the Cornhill all day.

The Ipswich Vegan Market will on the Cornhill on the following dates from 10am – 3pm:

  • Sunday 18th April
  • Sunday 18th July
  • Sunday 19th September

2021 dates at Trinity Park

We are really excited to be holding three more fantastic farmers markets at Trinity Park in 2021.

We will be in the Cattle Sheds on April 17th, October 16th and December 11th 2021 and we are now open for bookings! Just download, complete and return the Booking Form from our Event Market page and once we have looked through your application we will be in touch.

Please remember that all the products sold at our markets must be produced by the person who is selling and we work hard to ensure that all producers are from within a 50-mile radius of Ipswich. This event is open to food/drink and non-food producers. This is essentially an inside event however all stallholders do need to provide a 3m x 3m gazebo.
